Today I started work on using calculus to determine if a coronal mass ejection (solar storm) will hit Earth. The going is very slow and the work is difficult to understand let alone being able to do it in a way that is accurate to level that is needed. However progress is being made and the graph should be operational by the end of the week. On another note. Halle is working on accumulating the times and speeds of coronal mass ejections that then can be put into my graphing program on excel and find if it hits Earth or not.
The other interns are good company and always are open to help out if they have time to do so. It is a nice group to work with and an even better one to be friends with.
